Clearly, Director Nicole Conn has done her job. She continues to entertain the queer community with her movies and books since she stepped into the entertainment ring many years ago. Nicole Conn is an out lesbian, award-winning director, writer and producer. We were first introduced to her work when there was hardly any buzz around or knew lesbian movies were actually possible to be seen or enjoyed on the big screen.
Nicole Conn has currently released her new movie: Elena Undone: A romantic drama that touches on finding true self, religion and dealing with sexual identity. This movie has broken the record for the longest on-screen kiss in film history between two woman. Elena Undone stars Traci Dinwiddie [TV series: Supernatural] and Necar Zadegan [TV Series 24].
Nicole Conn’s first lesbian movie was Claire of the Moon. She reveals in Notstraight.com, Queerchatter that Desert Hearts inspired her to make Claire of the Moon. 4 years later, Cynara, Poetry in Motion was created for women by women, making it quiet unique for the genre it was made for.
In 2005, Nicole Conn made Little Man a documentary that will tug at everyone’s heart. A film dedicated to her personal struggle with Nicholas, her son whom was born “100 days too early” and survived. Little Man received 10 awards in several different categories.
What is Nicole Conn working on now? She is in pre-production with her partner, Marina Rice Bader, they are working on their next feature film “A Perfect Ending” with a stella cast that includes Suzanne Westenhoefer, Jessica Clark, Barbara Niven, Kerry Knuppe and Daniel Baldwin.
